Dr. O’Connell understands that your first visit to the eye doctor can feel overwhelming and he tries to accommodate all new patients with a comfortable and organized facility.

Our Office has several important steps that need to be completed to prepare you, and us, for your first appointment. We will need a letter from your treating eye doctor indicating your DIAGNOSIS, your VISUAL ACUITY at the Last Visit, the DATE of the last visit, and if indicated, a copy of your most recent VISUAL FIELDS (Glaucoma and Retinitis Pigmentosa Patients). We, may also ask you to complete the “Our New Patient” form prior to your visit. The goal at Westchester Low Vision is to cover everything you need help with in the fewest visits possible, and this information is critical in achieving this goal.
